15 May KhanLex Advocates advises EBRD on a USD 20 million equity investment to Mongolian cement producer (May 2013)

KhanLex Advocates advised European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on its USD 20 million equity investment to Senj Sant LLC. The investment will enable Senj Sant, owned by Monpolymet Group, to finance the construction, commissioning and operation of a technologically advanced and environmentally friendly dry process cement plant in Mongolia.

This equity investment is part of a financing package which also includes a loan of US$ 65 million.

We’re happy to have assisted EBRD, as a local counsel, with this transaction” said Commercial partner Enkhbat B. who led on this deal. “We are also pleased to have been able to support Senj Sant and its parent, Monpolymet, on this transaction which will be a significant project in the diversification of Mongolia’s economic away from natural resources.”  Enkhbat was supported by Batjargal G. on this transaction.
