Batjargal has over twenty years of professional experience both in the public and private sectors of Mongolia. He started his career at the Ministry of Justice of Mongolia with the “Banking, Enterprise and Legal Technical Assistance” project funded by the World Bank. While with the Justice Ministry, he was involved in development of brand new Bankruptcy Law of Mongolia and re-writing of the Banking Law of Mongolia. Batjargal also worked as in-house counsel with SG Group and its affiliate, Mongol Metal Mining LLC. At these two companies, Batjargal advised extensively on mining, capital markets and general commercial and corporate matters, including M&A.
Batjargal co-founded KhanLex Partners LLP in 2011. In 2014 KhanLex Partners merged with another Mongolian law firm creating a new firm called “MDS KhanLex”. In 2018, however, the two firms de-merged. Following the de-merger, the former lawyers of KhanLex Partners, including Batjargal, have re-launched KhanLex Partners LLP.
Batjargal has been named a leading lawyer in Corporate/M&A and Energy & Natural Resources areas by AsiaLaw Leading Lawyers.
