Background

Enkhbat Batsukh heads the (i) Banking & Finance, (ii)Energy / Infrastructure and (iii) Legislative policy practices at KhanLex Partners.
Enkhbat has over 20 years of experience in the legal field in Mongolia. He is a former government lawyer – specifically as a desk officer in the Business Law Section of the Ministry of Justice of Mongolia. His responsibilities at the Ministry of Justice included drafting the Civil Code of Mongolia, Foreign Investment Code of Mongolia and Bankruptcy Code of Mongolia. Following the government work, Enkhbat was with Newcom, a Mongolian investment holding company. In particular, he was in-house counsel with the following two flagship businesses of Newcom – MobiCom (Mongolia’s first and largest telecom operator) and Eznis Airways (regional air carrier).

He is a founding partner of KhanLex Partners LLP, which de-merged from MDS KhanLex in 2018. Enkhbat has been instrumental in making KhanLex Partners LLP (and, by extension, MDS KhanLex) one of the top-ranking Mongolian law firms, according to Chambers, AsiaLaw and Legal500.
