Maizorig is a partner of MDS KhanLex LLP. During his 15 years of legal experience he held a number of positions in the Ministry of Justice such as a specialist, senior specialist and Deputy Director of the Legal Policy Department. His previous experience and familiarity of decision making process at public sector brings much value to the firm and the private sector’s clients when dealing with Government related transactions and projects. He advises clients on various transactions involving project financing, M&A and corporate matters. He heads the PPP/Project finance, Infrastructure, Dispute Resolution and International Arbitration practices of the firm. Since the introduction of PPP/Project Finance in Mongolia, Maizorig has been involved as a secretariat of working group on drafting and development of Law on Concession and State policy on development of PPP, advising contractors, service providers, consortia, and public bodies on a wide range of projects. In the rail sector, he advised on the New Railway project and acted as the Local counsel of Ulaanbaatar Railways (UBTZ) JSC’s international arbitration case. In relation to banking and finance, he advised on the multi-million dollar transaction involving Credit Suisse. He has co-authored first ever Mongolian book on project finance, “The Fundamentals of Project Finance”. Maizorig is a member of Mongolian Bar Association. He is proficient in English. Maizorig has been rated as a leading lawyer by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2016, being quoted as “responsive, experienced and reliable lawyer” and in the same publication under the leading lawyers referred him as the person who “provides good advice in tricky issues”.
