KhanLex advised European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on its USD 800,000 senior loan facility to Eco Orchin LLC.
This loan of USD 800,000 and denominated and disbursed in MNT will help Eco Orchin to finance expansion of its fleet and increase its working capital. EBRD provides this loan under its Direct Financing Framework SME programme which allows EBRD to offer finance directly to small and medium-sized enterprises in Mongolia and other countries of EBRD operations for projects of up to EUR 25 million.
Eco Orchin is a leading privately-owned municipal waste management and transportation company holding ISO 9001:2015 (quality management systems) and ISO14001:2004 (in environmental management systems).
“We’re happy to yet again support EBRD in its development of local currency financing in Mongolia by providing a loan in MNT (Mongolian currency) to Eco Orchin LLC” said Enkhbat Batsukh, partner, who led the KhanLex team on this deal.
