Background

Namuun Odkhuu has joined KhanLex in 2019.
Namuun focuses on drafting legal documents, assisting with legal opinions, conducting due diligence and “corporate checks”, setting up foreign-invested companies, advising on corporate actions and transactions, and conducting legal research.
Prior to KhanLex, she worked as in-house counsel for the Mongolia’s largest insurance broker and a startup IT company.
Since joining KhanLex, Namuun has participated in several noteworthy cross-border transactions acting for foreign and multilateral clients.

  • Advised a large independent South East Asian power company in respect of acquiring a solar power project developer in Mongolia (financial close in 2019)
  • Advised a multilateral development bank on debt financing of a large Mongolian commercial bank (financial close in January 2020)
  • Advised a major Mongolian commercial bank in respect of the FATF recommendations on AML and CTF (report submitted in May 2019)
  • Advised a foreign invested company in respect of acquisition and charter capital changes (2020)
  • Advised an international green development institution in respect of building retrofitting project in Ulaanbaatar (2020-present).
