KhanLex advised its long-standing client, EBRD, in its financing of Khanburgedei, a Mongolian retail company, of EUR 3,85m. The loan will refinance some existing debt of Khanburgedei as well as be used by Khanburgedei for working capital.
This financing is provided by EBRD under its Direct Financing Framework SME programme which allows EBRD to offer finance directly to small and medium-sized enterprises in Mongolia (and other countries of EBRD operations) for projects of up to EUR 25 million.
Khanburgedei is one of the largest Mongolian private companies engaged in retail, distribution and trading of apparel and foods.
In 2016, In 2016, EBRD has provided two loans to Khanburgedeil (USD 6 million and MNT equivalent of USD 1.5 million), which KhanLex advised on, too.
